The American Eagle Dog is an intentional cross, not a kennel-club breed with a single written standard. Two dogs from the same pairing can differ in size, coat, and temperament, because each puppy inherits a different mix of traits from the contributing breeds.

The American Eagle Dog mixes the American Eskimo Dog with the Beagle. Size is small to medium. The coat is usually longer and plush than a Beagle, with a plumed tail, and color may be white or the Beagle's tricolor showing through a pale jacket.
Expect a voice. Beagles hound and Eskimos bark. They are companion dogs with a nose and a wish to roam if a gate is left open. The coat sheds and needs brushing when the undercoat drops. Food interest from the Beagle side makes training with treats easy and counter-surfing likely.
