The Prazsky Krysarik is a tiny, square companion and ratter with a short glossy coat, a high-set dropped or semi-erect ear, and a fine, elegant outline. It is smaller than a Miniature Pinscher.

A tiny Czech ratter who fits an apartment; a short coat, little grooming, and a brighter hallway voice than his outline suggests.

The Prazsky Krysarik, or Prague Ratter, is a tiny Czech companion and vermin dog. It is an old type from Bohemia, separate from the Miniature Pinscher. It is not recognized by AKC, CKC, or UKC in this table.

Temperament

These little dogs are typically alert, attached to their people, and surprisingly bold. They can be vocal and do not always enjoy rough play from small children. They feel the cold.

Training

They learn household manners if training stays gentle. Keep sessions short.

Care and grooming

The short coat needs a weekly wipe. Use a harness and protect them from jumps off furniture.

Shedding

Low.

Health

As with other tiny breeds, patellar luxation, dental crowding, and fragile legs are concerns. Keep the dog lean.
